We are holding…

Just this last week, we were battling freeze warnings and hail on our gardens.  This week, besides some annoying wind, the weather has been mild, almost hot.  A couple of weekends ago, right before the freeze, Heidi and I went to the Albuquerque Garden Center for the 2010 plant sale.  We had never been before and were excited to check out the local goods.  It was pretty packed, and they had a good selection.  The funnest part was looking through the different heirloom tomatoes that were in the back.  I take that back.  The funnest part was the “special (needs) plants” display.  They were sad looking fellows that were singled out on a section of one of the tables.  We are excited to head out and feature some local growers markets and farms.  This should be a fun season of growing and planting.  We just have to beat it into our brains that when we do something, we need to take pictures so we can put it up here!!  I regret not featuring my old crib sheet pot covers for the freeze warning.  We shall learn.
