Merry Christmas

It’s Christmas Eve, but it doesn’t feel like it. Luckily for me the weather has been rather mild, minus one snow storm that produced one nice snow man. The mild weather has allowed me to totally slack on preparing the garden beds for winter. I know. It’s already winter, right? I have plans to go buy compost on Sunday, so hopefully it doesn’t snow before then.

I just explained to my husband in detail about how my love of winter has shifted to more of a love of the expectation of spring….pretty sure he wouldn’t remember the conversation, but I had it with him. I find myself using winter as a planning time for spring. I’m already looking forward to what I will plant and where it will go.
